Substance intake references

54 substances EFSA · US NIH ODS Every figure links to its source

What the European Food Safety Authority and the United States National Institutes of Health have published about the intake of the substances people track in Stacky. Each figure is shown with the authority that set it, the kind of figure it is, and the people it applies to.

Stacky is an organisational tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, and nothing on these pages says what any substance does. Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before starting, stopping or changing what you take.

Which substances have a page

A substance has a page when EFSA or the NIH ODS has published an intake reference for it: 54 of the 200 substances in the catalogue. Where an authority examined a substance and set no figure, the page says so.

None of them carries a dose of our own, a grade, a verdict on whether anything works, or a statement that a supplement treats, prevents or improves a condition. What is withheld, and why →

The list

Sorted by name. “Lowest ceiling” is the lower of the two authorities’ tolerable upper intake levels, with the authority named. It summarises what was published and says nothing about any amount you take.

Correcting a figure

Figures are read from the authorities’ published tables and can go out of date when those tables are revised. If one here is wrong, tell us at support@stacky-app.com and we will check it against the source.
